"Rude! Rude! Rude! The service was great when I needed a quote but everything went downhill from there. There was an incorrect address entered for me which caused me to not receive my devices and lose my drive safe discount and causing an influx on my autopay bill (wasn’t my fault because the address was not correct). Customer care and an agent at the office assured that I would receive a refund via check in two weeks. Fast forward to two weeks, I have purchased a new vehicle and needed assistance with a quote, I also wanted to inquire on my refund. Customer care reached out to the office and stated that there was a very dismissive response that they’ll “call me later.” At that point I decided to I transfer my policy to another agent. When I called the office to request them to transfer my account to another local office that has always exuded better professionalism and customer service with my other policy, Ayanna, answers the phone and greets me with “I thought I had someone or told someone to tell you to call customer care”. The conversation then progressed to her antagonizing on my decision to change agents and statements in so many words that I had been fabricating the information that she was to refund me per conversation with customer care and an agent from her office. As I proceeded to ask, what was the solution she states “Since you chose to switch that’s a matter you will take with your new agent”. Extremely poor customer service. I have four family members that are corporate State Farm employees and I have heard nothing but great things about the company and their morale; as the service and attitude that I received today was below the bar of State Farm’s etiquette. I have reached out to my new agent as advised and was told that the payment was issued to Ayanna so there isn’t a way to refund, I contacted customer care and they have stated the same also assuring me for the third time, reimbursement will directly come from her office. Customer care has also put us on a conference call confirming that in their expertise Agents have disbursed refunds, Ayanna basically states “this is not a case where SHE would refund” and aggressively continues she is not understanding why she has to repeat herself. (As a customer, I am confused on why you would not refund me for an error that one of YOUR agents made as it is State Farm’s policy that if the agency makes the mistake that they are to be reimbursed) Verbiage has since switched and she was also very disturbingly rude to the customer care agent on the phone whose interest was just to mediate. My advice to Ayanna is to work on her customer service, attitude, and have a group huddle to work on the morale of the office as she is giving very poor representation of State Farm! In response to Ayanna’s response: when customer care, escalations, your in office agent, and a supervisor states that refunds are issued by the agent’s office, yes it leaves us ALL confused. In fact when the mediator politely interjected that there’s been witnesses to reimbursements from agent offices, it ruffled your feather where you attempted to insult him. Please be mindful two weeks ago your office stated you would be sending my FULL reimbursement, now “agent’s do not refund”; Also please stop stating it is a discount refund, to save face. This is supposed to be a full reimbursement due to you all pulling an unauthorized amount from my account due to your offices error which caused my policy to be adjusted without my CONSENT. As directed by Meghan (your agen) that you all would have to provide FULL reimbursement and I will then pay the correct amount as previous months. Leaving to believe that you are being vindictive due to my decision to switch to your neighborhood competitor who has again always provided me exceptional customer service even after a quote. However, this is now being handled in an appropriate manner with the escalations team, you and I both know it would not be escalated if it was their job to disburse; they will be reaching out to you soon. Be well."
